Sheba
Domestic Shorthair
Sheba’s life has been shaped by constant change - none of it by her choice. She was rescued from a hoarder’s home in Woodside, Queens, New York, where survival meant enduring chaos rather than comfort. After her rescue, Sheba entered foster care, hopeful that stability was finally within reach. Sadly, her first two foster placements were not the right fit, and once again, she had to pack up her world and move on. Then something beautiful happened. Sheba was adopted by a loving guardian, Heather, who gave her the safety and devotion she had never known. For the first time, Sheba relaxed. She learned what it meant to be loved, to belong, to be someone’s cat. But tragedy struck when Heather passed away from COVID. Overnight, Sheba lost everything again. She was moved into another home, where she stayed for several months, but the resident cat never accepted her. Through no fault of her own, Sheba has now been bounced between homes five times. Sheba is once again searching - not just for a home, but for permanence. A place where she will never have to start over again.
