Your Car Can Save a Life

Join Our Rescue Transport Team
Every day, cats across New York City depend on safe, reliable transportation to get where they need to go - from the streets and overcrowded shelters to foster homes, veterinary clinics, and ultimately their forever families.
Many of these cats are rescued from dangerous, time -sensitive situations, but rescue doesn’t end at intake. Without volunteer drivers, they simply cannot access the medical care, safe housing, and opportunities they need to survive and thrive.
By becoming a volunteer driver with Cat Connections NYC, you become an essential part of the rescue process. You are a critical link between danger and safety, illness and healing, uncertainty and hope. You’re not just transporting a cat - you’re helping save a life.
Why Drivers Are So Important?
Many cats are stranded, injured, or sick - and transportation is the missing link between rescue and safety.
Most foster-based rescues (like ours) don’t have transport vehicles, so volunteer drivers are crucial.
Without drivers, we can’t rescue cats from streets, get them to vet care, or deliver them to foster homes.
65 percent of small rescues rely entirely on volunteers for transport. Transportation is one of the top needs for animal rescues.
Becoming a rescue driver isn't just volunteering - it's being the bridge between danger and safety. You'll witness cats' first steps toward a better life - because you drove them there.

Can't Volunteer? Support Our NYC Cat Rescue with a Donation.
Every dollar helps us rescue abandoned cats, cover vital veterinary care, and provide food and essential supplies for the cats in our care.
Your support allows us to respond quickly to cats in need, fund emergency treatments, spay and neuter to prevent future litters, and give each cat a safe, nurturing environment while they wait for their forever home.
