Mr. Blinks was found on the street with severely crusted eyes and constant drooling. Despite his condition, he had been incredibly friendly and appeared at one of our cat colony feeding spots - likely another abandoned cat seeking help. A veterinary exam revealed the cause of his suffering. Mr. Blinks had entropion, a genetic eye condition in which the eyelids rolled inward, causing the lashes and skin to rub against the eyes. This led to chronic irritation, pain, and crusting, and the only solution was corrective surgery. He also had a large ulcer inside his mouth, which explained the drooling, along with two damaged teeth that needed to be removed to restore his oral health. At five years old, Mr. Blinks had likely lived with this painful condition his entire life. Yet despite everything, he remained sweet, trusting, and gentle - ready for a chance at a healthy, happy life. Thanks to our community, we raised the funds for Mr. Blinks to finally receive the medical care he had waited for so long. His journey toward comfort and healing had begun.
