Karl’s life likely began as a cherished pet, but at some point, he was abandoned and left to survive on the streets. Despite this, he remained calm, friendly, and affectionate, with a unique and beautiful coat. A TNR trapper in Forest Park discovered him, but he had been confined in a cage for weeks in her home because her resident cat was aggressive toward him. The trapper tried desperately to find Karl a permanent home but lacked the resources and network to do so. Searching online, she found our rescue and reached out for help. Once in our care, we were able to provide him with a safe and loving environment. Karl was then adopted by a family whose resident cat had been hoping for a companion, and the two quickly bonded, becoming inseparable. With his gentle temperament and sweet personality, Karl now enjoys a secure, loving forever home where he is valued and adored every day. His journey from abandonment and confinement to happiness shows the difference proper care and support can make.
