Felix came into our care under circumstances no senior cat should face. For 13 years, he lived a loving, stable life with his guardian, until everything changed when the guardian’s illness required him to enter hospice care. Unable to provide the daily attention Felix needed, he made the painful decision to surrender his beloved cat, hoping it would give Felix a chance at a secure future. We welcomed Felix into our rescue, where he initially stayed quiet and withdrawn while adjusting to his new surroundings. His foster home provided a calm, safe space, and during a veterinary checkup, we discovered he needed several teeth removed to relieve pain. After surgery, Felix gradually regained his comfort and confidence, revealing his affectionate and gentle nature. His foster family quickly bonded with him and knew he belonged with them. They officially adopted Felix, giving him a warm, loving home where he can enjoy his senior years surrounded by care, security, and happiness.
